Hey there Indigo Babes!

We wanted to shed some light on our brand and help you understand where your suits are coming from, and how you are helping the environment by supporting Indigo Swimwear.

 

First and foremost we want to stress that Indigo is 100% regenerated nylon.

What does this mean? 

 

Good question! All of our swimsuits & bikinis are made out of recycled and reprocessed fishing lines and ocean waste. The company that made this all possible for us is ECONYL®.

ECONYL® regenerated nylon opens up endless possibilities for the people who make and wear apparel. Fashion-forward brands and designers use ECONYL® regenerated nylon to create beautiful products that also drive the industry towards a sustainable future.
ECONYL® regenerated nylon performs exactly the same as brand new nylon but gives you a sustainability edge, turning trash into treasure.

FOR EVERY 10,000 TONS OF ECONYL® RAW MATERIAL, WE ARE ABLE TO:
Save 70,000 barrels of crude oil and avoid 57,000 tonnes of CO2 eq. emissions.
As well as being a solution on waste, ECONYL® regenerated nylon is also better when it comes to climate change. It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 80% compared with the material from oil.

However, not only is our swimwear eco-friendly and sustainable, but we have put a lot of thought into our packaging and made sure we have kept that as eco-friendly as possible as well!

Indigo uses 100% cotton drawstring bags to hold your swimwear in a comfortable position while it is on it's way over to you! 

Our thank you cards, hangtags and business cards are also 100% eco-friendly!

We use natural jute ribbon to add that extra touch to your order!

We must admit that we are however still working on enhancing the sustainability of our company by looking into more eco-friendly options when it comes to our boxes and tissue paper!
